Plain terms for a friendly tool.

What Namefold is

Namefold is an online tool that draws names for a gift exchange and gives each person a private link to their match. It is run by WeldonPC. It does not buy, sell, wrap or deliver gifts, and it does not contact anyone for you. To reach WeldonPC, use weldonpc.com/contact.

Namefold is independent. It is not affiliated with Spy-Fy (privacy accessories), the Spy-Fi Wi-Fi app or the Spy-Fi Archives, and it offers no privacy, Wi-Fi or spy-fiction products. The domain spy-fi.com is only its address.

Your part

• Organizers must be adults and have the group's agreement to take part.
• Use first names or nicknames, and keep wish lists friendly. Do not put anyone's private information, or anything unlawful or hateful, into Namefold.
• Keep links safe: anyone holding a link can use it. You are responsible for whom you send links to.

The draw

Namefold draws at random within the rules you set. It cannot know about family situations you have not told it, so check your rules before you draw. You can undo the draw or draw again at any time; a new draw is a fresh random draw, so some people may get the same person again.

The organizer holds every person's link and can open any envelope with it. Envelopes show when they were opened and how often their match was shown, so a peek leaves a mark.

Prices and payment

Free: up to 12 people per exchange. Big Draw: $1.00 once for one exchange of up to 40. Namefold Plus: $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year for one exchange of up to 100, renewing every month or year until you stop it. You can stop it at any time from the exchange's organizer page; it then stays Plus until the end of the time already paid. Deleting an exchange stops its Plus first.

Free during preview: payments are not switched on yet, so nothing is charged and every exchange has the Plus features. When payments start, these prices will apply only to purchases made from then on.

Keeping and deleting

Exchanges are deleted automatically on the schedule in the privacy page, and the organizer can delete one at any time. Deleted exchanges cannot be brought back.

No guarantee

We work to keep Namefold running and correct, but it is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. WeldonPC is not responsible for gifts, for disagreements in a group, or for a link shared with the wrong person. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with its date. Using Namefold after a change means you accept the new terms.
